As women we are trained by example and expectation to say yes to the commitments that serve everyone and everything except ourselves. We are so in tune with giving to others that oftentimes we willingly serve ourselves from empty vessels. In fact, we attempt to shrink ourselves in order to fit into spaces and places that were never designed to contain us. Many of us will continue on this limiting path until a life altering interruption is introduced.

For years I was guilty of living my life just like this. I wanted to experience something different but I was too afraid to pursue it because I understood that in order to possess something I’ve never had it would require me to do something I’ve never done. We have a tendency to readily accept the unacceptable.

Are you guilty of living your life like this? Ultimately I made my leap of faith and you can take one too! I’ve become intentional about showing up for myself. Are you ready to break up with any toxic version of yourself that prevents you from accessing your YES? Are you ready to say yes to the one who is truly deserving of your YES?
