I recognize the reality is that many of us are glued to online news. So, if you find yourself doom-scrolling on your phone or computer, remember three vital points:

Social media is NOT A NEWS OULET.

Even if you use social media platforms to find reliable news sources, don’t mistake all online content for real reporting. Most social sites aim to inflame as much as inform.

Don’t start or end your day with the news.

Beginning and winding down your day should be times for you to connect with your purpose, your loved ones, your inner self. Ingesting news at these times can influence our moods, affect our sleep, and can cause negative physical reactions.

Aim for ‘Quality over Quantity.’

There is no need to exhaust yourself with rehashing the details over and over in search of a smidge more information. It is enough to pick one or two reliable primary news sources and venture out from there only when needed.
